Since losing the Next Door Bar venue where the local ukulele bands would get together for regular ‘Ukulele Collectives’ where each band would take it in turns to lead the event, there was a feeling that we had lost something that was important to us as local ukulele players.

Christina (who leads Bridgnorth Club) decided that it was too good to let go so decided we would try to transition to holding them at the Bridgnorth club. So on the 9th May we invited the local ukulele players to attend and waited to see if they would. Well, they did. It was an amazing afternoon of ukeing entertainment with in excess of 60 participants. We need not have worried, it was a resounding success and I’m sure the other bands will be looking forward to leading future events. Well done the Bridgnorth squad.

Here is a glimpse of how the afternoon went:-
